WHO WE ARE
OTTINGER ARCHITECTS is dedicated to designing unique, livable spaces that respond to the evolving needs of an increasingly dense and urban Los Angeles. Our work is driven by creativity, careful attention to detail, and a deep commitment to meaningful placemaking.
Founded in 2019 by Jesse Ottinger, our Los Angeles-based firm has grown into a dynamic team of 20 architects and designers, bringing diverse perspectives and expertise to every project. Our portfolio spans multifamily residential, mixed-use, educational, and civic developments, reflecting our dedication to shaping vibrant communities.
With over 2,700 units of market-rate and affordable housing currently in development—with projects ranging from 35 to 420 units —we are actively transforming the urban landscape. Through thoughtful design and innovative solutions, we are helping to create a more connected, dynamic, and livable city.
THE WORK WE DO
Our work is driven by the communities and people we serve. By considering those both invested in and affected by each project, we focus on an approach that blends innovation, quality, and livability, ensuring that every design contributes meaningfully to the city’s evolving landscape.
Our portfolio reflects the breadth of our expertise. From 601 Colorado Avenue, a landmark high-rise in Santa Monica, to residential communities in Echo Park and Beverly Hills, we are shaping the future of Southern California through projects that balance creativity, functionality, and a positive long-term impact.
Our philosophy is rooted in a deep understanding of multi-family residential and mixed-use developments, ensuring that our designs integrate seamlessly within the urban fabric. Whether revitalizing neighborhoods with affordable housing solutions or introducing bold, contemporary structures, our focus remains on creating environments that serve both residents and the broader community in collaboration with our motivated clients.
Operating out of Pico-Union, Ottinger Architects is a team of talent that continues to push the boundaries of design, working together to build the city we have thrived in.
