Located next to the Santa Monica Public Library, 1325 6th Street is an 8-story residential development with a framework of two distinct, articulated volumes. The separation extends from the upper levels to the ground plane, creating a central arrival space and establishing a strong pedestrian presence. Because of its prominent civic location near the revered Santa Monica Public Library, the side of the building facing the library has as much detailing and articulation as the street frontage. A landscaped courtyard sits at the heart of the project and opens toward the side facing the library. Rooftop social spaces offer sunset and south-facing views.

Inspired by its coastal context, the exterior material palette features composite wood paneling and smooth plaster, complemented by verdant landscaping, generous planters, and integrated architectural lighting to soften the building’s expression and create an inviting environment.
