The Pico-Union neighborhood is known for an eclectic mix of houses and apartment buildings that contribute to the historic significance of the area. The existing historic house, built in 1911, will be preserved and remain a centerpiece for this project. It will become a focal point for the residents with several amenity spaces that open onto the front and rear courtyards. Wrapping around the house are 128 units of work-force housing which provide a simple screened back drop for the historic residence while also creating its own unique presence in the neighborhood.
